By The Sea 'Meet the Artist'

Today our newest exhibition 'By The Sea' has officially opened!

We are featuring a host of emotive and powerful seascapes by the artist Jo Cross (Stroke of a brush)

A little bit about Jo,

"I am a British artist from Oxfordshire with a love of all elements around clouds and water and with a huge love of nature and beautiful scenery, in particular North Cornwall but, not exclusively. I create paintings from my memories to capture the feeling and emotion that will resonate with the viewer. I'm not formally trained but am entirely self taught and paint from the heart. How I got into art is another story for later.

My artwork is painted from memory and, using the way I see colour now, with no depth perception I build the emotions into each piece."

Until the 31st of July you can visit and admire her vast array of original paintings and a limited edition prints, there's something for everyone. The print racks are full to the brim of a mixture of vibrant seascapes, abstracts and some pieces more focused on the light so make sure you have a look through them!

For those who would like to meet the artist and ask discuss her work and inspiration we will be holding a 'Meet the Artists' this Saturday 13th July 11am til 2pm.
